Mallory's Graduation Weekend Video

Mallory's graduation weekend was so wonderful!  We were definitely nervous with this being our first child and large event to host; but all went well!  Thanks to everyone who helped us!  It made the whole experience so enjoyable to know that people cared enough to help, and to come to honor Mal.  Makayla was our photographer of the weekend and took some great photos, so I decided to make them into a short video to remember the weekend.  Hope you enjoy it!  Click Here to View

Baccalaureate, Maddy's May Term, and Cosby!!

Baccalaureate night included the choir singing beautifully and a local pastor who challenged the seniors regarding their futures.  It is encouraging that there was a good turn-out for this evening.
Maddy's May Term class was planning and performing a short play for the younger SC students.  Maddy was a zombie and came home looking like this and I had to take a photo!  Yikes!!
We have raised the girls to appreciate Bill Cosby and his humor, so we were fortunate that he came to Spencer, IA!  We laughed a lot that night!  He is a rare talent - we loved watching him make the girls laugh!

Bible Instruction Class Graduation!

Makayla completed her Bible Instruction Class and was honored with her class being a part of the service and being presented a completion certificate.  She worked hard learning the tenets of the faith during the last two years.  Pastor Steve challenged them with memory work as well.  We celebrated by taking her to King's Pointe for Sunday dinner with her Grandparents and Aunt.  We pray her desire to learn more and study the Word will continue throughout her life.  Love you girl!

Track Season

Makayla threw the shot put this year in track - she did pretty well!  She placed in most of the track meets and is excited to get stronger and improve her technique in high school.
Mallory's Senior Year of Track was a fun one to experience.  This photo above is of Mal and Trish her cousin and track coach on the night of Districts in Manson.  It was a super cold night!!!  They broke the school record again this night with a time of 51.39!!  They qualified for State again in the 400 meter relay.  It was so exciting to watch her run again in Drake Stadium!  So proud!

Max's 8th Birthday and Spring Concert!

Max had his first friend party and invited two friends over to our house for a party.  They had fun on the farm and enjoyed a scavenger hunt that Makayla had fun planning to find his birthday cake.
Max had a "silly song" spring concert.  He loved rockin' the pink hair!  Very cute!

Happy Easter ~ Spring Concerts

Doing some catch-up work on my blog today!  Summer is over, school has begun and there is much to be thankful for - many memories were made over the past four months since I last blogged.  So, there will be several entries made today - enjoy!

Makayla went to Washington DC on a school field trip over Easter, so she wasn't home to be in the annual Easter photo.  Also, soon after, Makayla had her Spring Middle School Concert - she had several solos (vocal and trumpet).  It was a great concert!

Mallory's Graduation Photo Montage

Will write more later... but wanted to share this if anyone wanted to see it or share it with others.  Makayla made this for her sister's graduation.  It is such a reminder of 18 1/2 blessed years of life and joys - a gift!
